Know who is doing the work. Know what is covered.
Before work starts, you should be clear about the agreed scope, the business carrying out the work and the supporting documentation. Ask us for the current information relevant to your project.
Current insurance documents
Contact us to request current insurance documentation. Check the insured business name, the types of work covered and the policy dates against the work being quoted.
Clear responsibilities
Your quotation should identify the work included, any exclusions and the responsibilities of the people involved. Where engineering, inspections or specialist trades are needed, agree how these will be arranged.
Guarantees and memberships
Ask us which guarantees and memberships apply to your particular project and for the relevant terms. Any optional insurance-backed product should be explained separately from the building quotation.
Keeping your project records together
Keep the agreed quotation, variations, invoices and applicable design and completion documents together. We can discuss the records expected for the work we undertake.
